UVR Lab. was formed in Feb. 2001 at GIST to study and develop “Virtual Reality in Smart computing environments” that process multimodal input, perceive user’s intention and emotion, and respond to user’s request through Augmented Reality. Since 2012, UVR Lab moved to KAIST GSCT and restarted with a theme of “FUN in Ubiquitous VR.”

In this project, we propose a Miniature Augmented Reality (AR) system, which combines analog structures and digital contents in an AR environment. The system allows users to experience the next Digilog-type contents by using the natural 3D interaction with a real-time depth camera and the enhanced 3D marker-less tracker for AR. In particular, we support an easy authoring interface to build AR system by integrating the existing commercial authoring tools. This project will contribute to developing the emerging exhibitions and the each technical component will be adopted in many existing AR applications.
